We have a game plan for the term. Everyone should check out the calendar for tentative dates.

The current focus is on acquiring new members to pass on the torch. Without underclass students we run the risk of losing Phi Gamma Nu at PSU.

Tuesday October 28th, a few of our members will be presenting to a BA 101 class at 10 am to talk about recruitment of younger members.

Wednesday October 29th 7:00pm, PGN information session for students interested in Phi Gamma Nu.

Depending on the number of attendees, we may hold another info session the following week. If you know of any other Professors that would be willing to give us a bit of time during their class to spread the PGN name, bring it up at the next meeting or post on the forum and we will see what we can do. (Presentation material, fliers and such)

Fliers are being produced for these events and we may be able to talk some Professors into passing them out during classes, depending on whether or not we are able to speak directly to the students.

If your feeling any marketing urges, publicity ideas are always welcome. Poster, fliers, events, etc. Throw your thoughts on the forum.

We are taking ideas for events for the year. Current suggestions include:
Social -
Flag Foot ball
Take over PSU rec. room in the basement of Smith
Philanthropy –
Adopt a highway
Paws
Habitat for humanity (good for spring)
Beach clean-up (good for spring)
Fund raiser for local professor
Oregon Food bank
Professional –
Guest speakers
OEN event – check out business ideas, talk to investors, get connections. Check out the calendar for date.

www.ACG.org or http://chapters.acg.org/portland/ - Association for Corporate Growth: information sharing, mentorship for business leaders. Don’t need to be a member to attend events.
